2-step Authentication
With all the benefits of the internet and cloud computing for your business, there’s still risks. You can make things safer by using our new 2-step authentication feature in your iStockist account settings.
When you enable 2-step authentication, it works similar to online banking. Each time you login to iStockist, you’ll need a code which is generated on your mobile device. This code is only valid for a short period of time.
Enabling 2-step authentication
After you login, you can enable 2-step authentication in your iStockist account from your account settings. Download the free Google Authenticator mobile app (available for iOS and Android), and click on the + button. Scan the barcode on your screen with your mobile device, and finally type the code on your device to finish the process.
If your mobile device is lost or stolen, contact your account administrator immediately. Without your mobile device, you won’t be able to log in to your iStockist account.
Of course, 2-step authentication is simply one useful tool in keeping your account secure. Make sure to follow password best practices also. For example use long passwords that don’t contain personal information and use different passwords for each website.
