how to manage splits

This page gives you everything you need to know about how to manage splits.
When you signup for a supplier account on iStockist, it will come with one sample category, sample split and sample product. This helps you to find your way much faster.

A Split is a group of products units you can sell. For example, you want to sell one Bag with 6 apples. The split name is Bag, the products units inside this Bag is 6. This can be extended to Pallets, Trays, etc, anything you need.

Enabling splits

If you haven’t done it yet you will need to enable splits on your account.

  1. Login to your iStockist seller account using your email and password (if you do not have a seller account click here to learn how to upgrade);
  2. At the top header navigation click the ‘Account settings’ (cog icon) button;
  3. From the left side menu select ‘Advanced’, then turn the ‘Splits’ switch to Yes.
  4. Now you need to add splits for your products.

Add/Edit a Split

  1. At the top header navigation click the ‘Dashboard’ link;
  2. Select Products in the left vertical tabs, after that select Split at the top horizontal tabs;
  3. At the left side menu, click the blue plus button to add a new one;
  4. Type in the name of your split, e.g Pallet;
  5. Done!
  6. Under Sort you can drag and drop each split to the order you want your customers to see them when buying your products.

Splits can only be deleted if no products are using it.
