Set up your stores

There are two types of stores – public and private.

Public store

A public store is visible to anyone who has the link to the store. You can use this as a regular eCommerce store or to showcase your products without displaying prices. Or you can switch it off and set the login page as your landing page.

The public stores is for accepting orders from unregistered visitors such as click and collect orders. Alternatively you can use it to attracting people to signup for an account with you. You can choose whether or not to display prices, accept orders, and what payment methods to allow.

Private stores

A private store can only be accessed by you and the customers that you assign to it. You can setup as many private stores as you like. Each private store can display different products, prices, delivery schedule, payment options and other settings.

You can set up as many private stores as you need. You can even set up a store per customer! Managing lots of stores is efficient and quick. You can maintain the same pricelist for many stores using price templates. You can use the products csv upload to change the prices for all products on all stores in one upload.

Pro tip: You can move customers from one store to another by clicking on Customers > Select the customer > change the store and click on update to save the changes.

How to manage a store

Here’s a quick overview of the main admin sections of a store:

  1. Catalogue: enables you to view and edit the prices for the store. Clicking on Preview enables you to view the store as the customer.
  2. Settings: set the template pricelist, taxes, currency, and other settings for the store. Full list of settings here.
  3. Products: enables you to customise the product information you show specifically for this store.
  4. Customers: All of the customers who currently have access to this store.
  5. Orders: All of the orders placed on this store.

Now the last step is to invite/add customers.
